Mark Anthony Rodriguez, age 33, passed away on September 09, 2017, in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was 33 years old.
He wasn’t a perfect person.. he had good days and bad days. He had a charismatic way of talking to people and would give you the shirt off his back without any hesitation. Mark always had a way of making people laugh. He was a great listener and also had a way of making things look better and brighter. Mark enjoyed the beach, movies, skateboarding, drawing, hanging out with family, talking, comforting anyone who needed it. He was good at his job in Sales and Marketing. He was a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle and father. Mark was a loving father to all his children, he was proud and spoke of his children with great love. His children were his pride and joy. Mark always said that his greatest and best accomplishment in life were his children. Mark will be remembered for his courage, his sense of humor, his adventure for life, his bold laughter and big smile. We love you, so RIP Mark, for this is not goodbye, only we’ll see you later, for one day we will see you again.
Mark was born on June 15, 1984 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Yvette R. Gonzales and Roy A. Rodriguez. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Roy A. Rodriguez; paternal grandmother, Amelia Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Brumilda Sh. Rodriguez, Juan P. Rodriguez; uncle Serafin E. Gonzalez; aunt, Maria B. Rodriguez; cousin, Linda Y. Gonzalez; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his mother, Yvette R. Contreras; longtime companion, Annette Licea; his children, Athena, Makayla, Pollux, Niah Rodriguez; brothers, Adan (Eva) Gonzales, Casey Contreras, Richard Castellano; sisters, Judith (Kevin)Benton, San Juanita (Roland) Blanco and Rosalina Yanez; as well as numerous aunts , uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Adam Gonzales, Casey Contreras, Roland Blanco, John Ayala, Joe Henry Gonzalez, Hector Rubio and Kevin Benton.
