Antonio Perez Jr., (Tony), a beautiful kindred spirit, made his way into the awaiting loving arms of our Lord on May 21, 2017. He was born on November 29, 1937 in Goodland, Texas to Antonio Perez Sr., and Juanita Diaz Gonzalez. Tony also known as “Bo”, to many of his friends was raised in Corpus Christi, and attended Furman Elementary, Northside Jr. High, and Roy Miller High School. He enlisted in the United State Air Force in January of 1955.

In 1956 he married Maria Emma Martinez and moved to Del Rio, TX, where he had orders to Strategic Air Command, Laughlin Air Force Base. In 1959 he moved to Lompoc, California where he was stationed at Strategic Air Command at Vandenberg Air Force Base California for two years, and later transferred to Kimpo Air Force Base, Korea. Upon his return he made his home in Lompoc, California for 20 years.

He attended Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California and obtained an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, and an Associate of Science Degree in Real Estate. Then he became a Real Estate Broker and opened Cardinal Realty in 1976 in Lompoc, California.
He moved back to his hometown of Corpus Christi in July of 1979, and opened his Cardinal Realty Office at Arcadia Village Shopping Center, where he was Co-owner and Managing Partner from 1980-1999. He was a member of the National Realtors Association for 40 years, and a member of the Corpus Christi Realtor Association from 1979 to 2017.

He is preceded in death by his son Richard Anthony Perez, his brother Espiridion Perez, mother Juanita Diaz Gonzalez, and father Antonio Perez Sr.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Maria Emma Perez (Amy), children Cindy Marie (Michael) Acosta, of Lompoc, CA, Sandra Jean Perez of Lompoc, CA, Paul Anthony Perez of San Antonio, TX, Geri Anne (Rodney) Hill of New Braundels, TX., Michael Anthony Perez of Corpus Christi, TX.

Antonio’s legacy lives on with his thirteen beautiful grandchildren; Stacee Hernandez, Franke Hernandez, Amber Overman, Gail Moore, Heather Perez, Paul Perez Jr., Lena Campos, Camille Campos, Derek Thompson, Sharon Wooten, Regina Vanderburg, Kyra Perez, and Levi Perez.
Twenty four beautiful great grandchildren; Khloee Keller, Kamryn Keller, Cienna Hernandez, Sophia Hernandez, Tyler Swofford, Macy Moore, Caitlin Rose Perez, Isabella Perez, Kamilah Perez, and Jordan Marie Perez, Jadynn Silkwood, Otto Sterling Litchtenberger, Marcus Campos, Eliana Campos, Gabriel Valdivinos, Ashley Valdivinos, Andrew Valdivinos, Sophia Campos, and Aiden Campos, Parker Thompson, and Eli Thompson, Issiah Giroux, Catalina Ramirez, Christopher Ramirez, and Marco Antonio Magana, and his loyal faithful pet of 10 years Mr. Big.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Cathedral, 505 North Upper Broadway, Corpus Christi, Texas, at 9:30 am on Friday, July 7, 2017. Inurnment to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 Interstate 37 Access Road, with full Military Honors.
