Zaida Becerra

Zaida Becerra, age 68, passed away September 13, 2021. She was born on May 16, 1953 in San Benito, Texas to Roberto Garibay Sr. and Sofia Garcia Ruiz. Zaida was a quiet person and enjoyed being home. Zaida also enjoyed working as a home health provider with Girling. She took great pride taking care of her Aunt, who raised her. She found pure enjoyment being with her granddaughter and watching the Hallmark channel.
Zaida is preceded in death by her mother, Sofia Ruiz, brother, Leonardo Ruiz Jr (Yolanda Maria…).
Zaida is survived by her husband, of 35 years, Daniel A. Becerra, one daughter, Melinda B. Aguilar (Luis), granddaughter, Sofia Audrey Aguilar, three brothers, Raul Ruiz (Georgia), Oscar Ruiz (Ninfa) and Robert Garibay (Edna), numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial park.
