Yolanda O. Torres

Yolanda O. Torres, 75 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 7, 2021. Yolanda was born on May 11, 1945. After a courageous fight, she went to be with the Lord and reunited with our father. Our mom always loved and cared for many as well as always helping, in any way she could. She was our rock and the greatest love of our lives. Mom loved bingo, playing cards, cooking and being with her family. We will always cherish all the wonderful memories and carry her love with us in our hearts forever.
Yolanda was preceded in death by our loving father, Ezequiel Torres Sr., parents, Andres and Magdalena Zamora, sisters, Sylvia Yanez and Irma Salinas.
Yolanda is survived by her loving children, Antonio “Tony” Torres, Gilbert (Yvette) Torres, Ezequiel (Crystal) Torres Jr., Oscar Torres, Jessica (Raul) Martinez and Stacie Torres, 18 grandchildren, Jackie, Maddie, Noah, Gilbert Jr., Adriana, Nikki, Jenny Tracie, AB IV, Aiden, Zach, Genesis, Victoria, Francisco, Andy, Danny, Nathaniel, Destiny; 12 great-grandchildren, brothers, Andres G. Zamora, Ray Olvera and John Davila, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Our family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Doctors Regional Hospital for all the excellent care and compassion throughout her illness.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2045 18th St, Corpus Christi, TX 78404. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Due to COVID limitations, the Rosary will be limited to 75 people. A live stream of the Rosary will be available for friends and family to view from their home. Masks are required.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers will be Antonio “Tony” Torres, Gilbert Torres, Ezequiel Torres Jr., Stacie Torres, Andres G. Zamora and Jessica Torres.
