Virginia Cruz

Virginia Garcia Cruz of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. She was born June 22, 1938 to Gregorio and Sofia.

She enjoyed live and was a strong willed person, “old fashion.” She was funny and enjoyed music and loved to cook. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother great grandmother and aunt. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family.

Virginia is preceded in death by husband Florentino Nunez-Cruz, daughter Norma Cruz, parents Gregorio Garcia and Sofia Garcia.

She is survived by her children Gregorio Cruz, Florentino Cruz Jr. Virginia raised grandchildren Veronica Salinas and Trinidad Cruz. Her siblings are Augustine, Connie, Yolanda, Tina, Carolina, Carmela. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. at Seaside Reid Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 pm that same evening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
