Victor Mireles, age 82, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1939 to Simona Lara in Ecleto, Texas. He was raised in Kennedy, Texas and later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where he graduated from W.B. Ray high school in 1959, he then enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corp. He was married to Lydia Mireles for 53 years. He was employed by HEB Bakery as a supervisor for 32 years. After being home for a short time, he realized retirement was overrated and got a part time job at Kennedy Dental Care where he worked until his last days.
Victor was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and gambling. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, his playful sense of humor, and devotion to his family and friends.
Victor is preceded in death by his mother Simona Lara and his wife Lydia Mireles.
Victor is survived by his loving children and grandchildren, daughters; Annabel (Donald) Warren and Diane Mireles, sons; Daniel R. (Jolene) Mireles and David R. (Denise) Mireles, grandchildren; Clayton C. (Summer) Warren, Jordan (Kyle) Broughton, Alexa V. (Adam) Ogan, Mason J. (Christine) Mireles, Kamren J. (Kaylyn) Mireles, Sonni V. (Sean) Olson, and Morgan T. Mireles, four great-grandchildren; Nolan Mireles, Giovanni Mireles, Jet Broughton, and Skyler Broughton, two half-brothers; Billy Mireles and Henry Mireles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park
Pallbearers will be Mason J. Mireles, Kamren J. Mireles, Clayton C. Warren, Kyle Broughton, Adam Ogan, and Mike Aguas.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Ramos, Mercedes Rosales, Donald Warren, Richard Ramos, Freddie Ramos, Joseph Reyes and Sean Olson.
