Victor M. Blanco, age 79, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Victor Blanco Sr., was born on December 23, 1938 to Severiano and Maria Guadalupe Blanco. He was a graduate from Roy Miller High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Victor was employed by Yellow Freight. He enjoyed participation in family gatherings, church activities and social environment. He was a member of teamster union, church groups, IE: Guadalupanos, Knights of Columbus, Eucharist Minister and Soldados De Cristo. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sense of adventure, service in the church community, devotion to family, specifically his wife, Celia, his love of music and dance, family gatherings, his novella “The Price is Right”, traveling and loved telling good stories. Victor was a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Severiano and Maria Guadalupe Blanco, his brothers, Augustine, Jose and Richard Blanco, his sister, Maria Estella Cavazos and his 2 youngest children, Juan Carlos and Elizabeth Ann Blanco. Victor is survived by his wife, Celia S. Blanco; his sisters, Elisa and Hope Blanco and Maria Elena Fuentes; his children, Blanca Estella Torres (Domingo), Alma Rosa Rodriguez (Arturo), Maria Garza (Daniel), Victor Jr. Blanco (Veronica), Jose Luis Blanco (Sonia), Valentin Blanco (Laura Tyau), Alonzo Javier Blanco (Elmita), Maria Magdalena Reynolds (Heriberto), Martin Severiano Blanco (Shelly); 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
