Tadeo R. Vasquez

Tadeo R. Vasquez, age 82, passed away February 11, 2021. He was born on November 8, 1938 to Jose M. and Evangelina Vasquez. Tadeo R. Vasquez was born and raised in Robstown TX. He graduated from Del Mar College in 1995. Tadeo married his wife Olivia G. Vasquez of 51 years on June 16, 1969. He was employed by Howards BBQ, South Texas Meat Packer, and retired as a minister. Tadeo was a loving supportive father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed participating in church barbeque benefits and traveling with his church. Spending time with his family are moments he cherished the most. His coworkers and friends knew him by “Ted” and described him as their teddy bear. Tadeo had the ability to make everyone around him laugh with his jokes and sense of humor. He was always willing to help others when needed. Tadeo will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Tadeo R. Vasquez is preceded in death by his parents, Jose M. Evangelina Vasquez, his wife, Olivia Garza Vasquez, brother, Ruben Garza, sisters, Lydia Pena, Rebekah Vasquez Zuniga and daughter Esperanza Vasquez.
Tadeo R. Vasquez is survived by, Robert (Alicia) Rabagos, Richard (Frances) Ortegon, Armando (Melissa) Vasquez, Rene (Donna) Vasquez, Delia (Luis) Chavez, Felix (Irma) Vasquez, Leticia (Steve) Elliott, Jose M. (Chema) Vasquez, and Jesus Vasquez; 27 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 5pm to 9pm at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a prayer service to be held at 7pm that same evening. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Due to COVID limitations, the services will be limited to 75 people. Masks are required. A live stream of the services will be available for friends to view from their home.
Pallbearers will be Armando Vasquez II, Marcus Vasquez, Fernando Vasquez, Jose M. Vasquez, Luis Chavez Jr., Chris Olveda Jr., Robert R. Perez and Orlando R. Vasquez.
