Soyla Gonzalez, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Soyla was born on March 17, 1943 to Candelario & Guadalupe Marines. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1961. Soyla Gonzalez was employed by Wal-Mart. She enjoyed participation at The Greenwood Senior Center. Soyla’s favorite pastime hobbies were spending time with her grandkids, walking, spending time with her kids and most importantly her dogs, and her plants. She loved planting. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, quiet nature and devotion. Soyla was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Soyla Gonzalez is preceded in death by her husband Robert Gonzalez, her parents and 2 sisters.
Soyla Gonzalez is survived by her children, JoAnn Valdez (Manuel), Robert Gonzalez (Erika Perez), Christina Gonzalez (Rick Guzman) and Rosendo Gonzalez (Josie). She is also survived by her sister Enedina Reyes; her grandchildren, Jason Valdez, Bryan Valdez, Kaylee Valdez, Angelina Guzman, Ricky Guzman, Haley Gonzalez, Devin Gonzalez, Edward Garza, Analyssa, Malorie, Jose Rodriguez, Brianna Gonzalez, Britnee Gonzalez, and R.C. Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
