Samuel Gomez Sr., age 50 passed away on September 19, 2017. Samuel was born on August 04, 1967 to Felipe and Hortencia Gomez. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1988. He was employed by Mary McLeod Bethune Day Care, Janine’s Restaurant, Salvation Army Bell Ringer. Samuel enjoyed participation in BINGO, Adult Day Care Center, movies, wrestling events, basketball, and spending time with his granddaughter. He will always be remembered for his big smile, big heart full of love, kindness, faith, happiness, laughter, selflessness, sense of humor, wisdom, and devotion to his family. Samuel was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and cousin.

Samuel is preceded in death by Hortencia Gomez and Tia Gloria.

Samuel is survived by his wife of 28 years Consuelo R. Gomez, his children Samuel Gomez Jr., Connie Gomez, Joe Anthony Gomez, and Juan Angel Gomez; father Felipe Gomez, grandchildren Gabrielle Lynn Lazo and Charlotte Faith Lazo; siblings Maria Gomez, Ricardo Gomez( Michelle), Consuelo Gomez, Olga Sanchez (Santiago), Anna Gomez, Imelda Saenz (Javier), Carlos Gomez (Letecia Martinez), and Elvira Gomez (Yolanda); nephew uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephew including Jesse Sosa Gomez; as well as his pets Logan and Marley Gomez.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
