Rudy S. Camareno, age 81, passed away May 4, 2021. He was born on November 26, 1939, in Cuero, Texas to Guadalupe and Victoria Sustaita Camareno. Rudy served in the National Guard. He was a furniture refinisher by trade, who loved his job and coworkers. Rudy was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a hardworking man until the end and he will always be remembered for his great smile and the love for his family. He never missed a family gathering.
Rudy is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Virginia Mungia, grandson, Joseph Anthony Almeida, great grandson, James Martinez, brothers, Ben Camareno, Robert Camareno, sisters, Alicia Mendez and Gloria Ruiz.
Rudy is survived by his sons, Rudy (Eloisa) Camareno Jr., Ricky (Gloria) Camareno, daughters, Diana (Roy) Solis, Gracie Camareno, Daisy (Oran) Everett, MaryAnn Camareno, Irma Camareno, all from Corpus Christi, Texas, 23 Grandchildren, 45 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great grandchildren, Sisters, Eva Gonzales and Rosa Salazar.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021, with a Rosary at 12:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Followed with a Mass at 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Jerry Marquez, John Camareno, Jonathan Teniente, Rudy Benjamin Camareno, Angel Almeida and Izrael Mungia. Honorary pallbearer will be Ruben Camareno.
