Ruben Villanueva

Ruben Villanueva, 68, passed away on November 4, 2021. He was born on October 24, 1953 to Ricardo Villanueva and Herminia Vera. Ruben was employed by Texas Flame Steakhouse. He enjoyed being an executive chef. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter. Ruben was a loving father, son, brother and cousin.

He is preceded in death by his mother Herminia Villanueva, father Ricardo Villanueva, brothers Roberto Villanueva and Richard Hernandez.

Ruben is survived by his wife Diane Villanueva, children Ruby Coleman (Alvino), Ruben Villanueva Jr., Veronica Villanueva, Jennifer Villanueva (David), Jacob Villanueva (Crystal), Jesus Villanueva, Nikita Villanueva (Jorge), Monica Villanueva, numerous grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Elma Guerra, Norma Balderaz, Esther Garza, Roland Villanueva, Janie Tolento, Lisa Moya, Rachael Rosales, San Juana Casiano, Rosa Maria Villanueva, Reynaldo Villanueva Sr., numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, November 15, 2021, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Jesus Villanueva, David Duhart, Jorge Avila, Johnny Arredondo, Johnny Arredondo Jr., Luis Moya, Ely Reyna and Alvino Coleman. Honorary pallbearer will be Ruben Jacob Villanueva Jr.
