Ruben Garcia Sr., age 55, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Ruben was born on August 21, 1963 in Mercedes, Texas. He retired from AT & T after 30 years of service. Ruben enjoyed being with his grandchildren, fishing and “barbequing. He was an avid fan of Dallas Cowboys and of all sports. He is preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo Garcia, Sr. and a brother Rigoberto Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sylvia A. Garcia; 2 children, Ruben Garcia Jr. (Samantha), Selena Garcia; 2 grandsons, Easton Paul and Raiden James Garcia; his mother, Raquel Garcia; siblings, Gloria Rincon, Mary Flores, Belinda Vallejo, Rebecca Garcia, Roger Garcia, Rudy Garcia; mother-in-law, Mary Alma Flores; numerous sister and brothers in law; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
