Ross Glenn McQueen, age 67, passed away on August 1, 2019.
Born on March 31, 1952 to Hugh and Susanne McQueen, of Ontario, Canada, he moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, with his family, in July 1993. He was the Manager of Food Services at York House, for the Texas Department of Juvenile Justice, and had retired two years ago.
Ross was sworn in as a U.S. Citizen on June 20, 2019, along with his wife Diane.
He loved visiting with, and taking photos of, his grandchildren in Austin, TX, Dylan, Ragan, and Molly McQueen.
Ross is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary McQueen, and sister Gayle MacMillan, and brother-in-law Gerry.
He is survived by his wife, of over 45 years, Diane McQueen; two sons, Darren (Jenny) McQueen, and Glenn McQueen; three grandchildren, Dylan, Ragan, and Molly McQueen; one brother Bill (Wanda) McQueen; two nephews Jeff MacMillan (Lesley Anne), and Marty MacMillan (Donna), and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diane McQueen, for Ross McQueen’s Memorial.
