Rose Marie Hudson

Rose Marie Hudson (Nee Acosta), loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas where she was surrounded by family who adored her.  She was 56.

Rosie, as she was known to her family, was born on June 6, 1966 to parents Jose Trevino and Rose M. Garcia in Laredo, Texas. She graduated from Morton East High School (Cicero, IL) in 1984. Upon graduating Rosie moved to Corpus Christi to rejoin her family.  

Rose worked for over 25 years with H.E.B. She worked in various departments, but her passion was in the bakery department.

In May 1996, Rose met John Hudson of Corpus Christi, Texas. Rose and John married June 11, 2000 and she became the proud and loving step-mother to Aaron Thomas and Joshua Michael.

Rose was a longtime member of the Costal Bend Dart Association and the Electronic Darts of Corpus Christi (ED of CC). She held various positions on the Board of Directors for the ED of CC.  

Rose was predeceased by maternal grandparents John & Connie Acevedo and paternal grandparents Antonio & Mercedes Trevino.

Rose is survived by her husband John Thomas Hudson, sons Aaron Thomas (Erika) and Joshua Michael (Ashley) and grandchildren Aidan Gabriel Hudson, Mariah Ann Hudson, Emma Khloe Hudson, Abigail Lynn Hudson, Jacklyn Sue Hudson and Joshua Michael Hudson, Jr. In addition, Rose is survived by her parents Jose Trevino (Ester) and Rose M. Garcia and sister, Maria Isabel (John) and brothers, Jose (Denise), Juan Antonio and Matthew Trevino (Macy).  

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Corpus Christi Funeral Home 2409 Baldwin Blvd Corpus Christi, Texas on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
