Rita R. Perez

Rita R. Perez, age 90, passed away on June 14, 2020. Rita was born on May 4, 1930 to Martin and Maria Ramirez in Taft, Texas. She graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1948. She was a member of the Hi-Fairnessee Girls Club during her high school days. Rita was employed by Frost Bros, Casa De Brides, The Rack, Tené Boutique, County Court House and Linens and More.
Rita enjoyed sewing, bowling and playing bunco. She was loving wife, mother, caring sister, aunt and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, sense of humor and being a warmhearted and loving mom and grandmother.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents: Martin and Maria Ramirez; husband: Eugene B. Perez, Jr; brothers: Martin, Henry, Pete and Arturo Ramirez; sisters: Zulema Silguero and grandson: Jerome Perez. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters: Mary Ann Ramos, Lilian Perez; four sons; Eugene, Martin (Rosemary), Rudy and Anthony (Rosie) Perez; her brother: Arnold (Mary)Ramirez, twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at Seaside Reid Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same day. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Seaside Reid Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Rudy Perez Sr., Rudy Perez Jr., Christopher David Ramos, Martin Perez Jr., Josiah Perez and Julian Perez.
