Richard G. Lopez

Richard Lopez, age 64, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Rick was born on December 9, 1954 to Antonio and Angelita Lopez. He received his GED in 1976 and served in the U.S. Army from 1976-1986. Rick enjoyed fishing and enjoyed listening to music in his car. He will always be remembered for his kind words, gentle manner and willingness to help family and friends. Rick was a loving husband, father, uncle and last but not least a wonderful friend and mentor. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio & Angelita Lopez, and his brother Antonio Lopez Jr.
Rick is survived by his beautiful wife Sylvia Lopez; his sons Richard Lopez, Mark Lopez, Jesus Salazar, Daniel Salazar, Christopher Galvan; 11 grandchildren Sunshine Salazar, Sadie Salazar, Averie Salazar, Nathaniel Salazar, Cristian Salazar, David Javier Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Olivia Lopez, Jaiden Galvan, Oscar Galvan, Diego Galvan; 2 great grandchildren Treyton Kole Lopez and Jaylen Rene Lopez.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
