Richard Allen Martin

Richard Allen Martin, age 65, passed away March 15, 2020. He was born on October 7, 1954, in Beeville, Texas, to Betty and Sid Martin. He graduated from A.C. Jones in 1973. After 14 years together, he married his wife of seven years on December 31, 2012. Richard was employed by the Texas Railroad Commission. Richard was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle.
Richard enjoyed sports, Texas country music, campfires and reading. He will always be remembered for his love of nature, back road driving and sunsets. Richard had a sense of humor and was always willing to help anybody. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. His greatest pleasures were his grandchildren.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Swon Martin-Rudeloff, father, Sidney LeGrand Martin, one infant, brother, George Martin and father-in-law, Fermin Olivares.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Myrna Martin, son, Allen (Sarah) Martin, daughter, Megan Kay (Mitchell Vicha) Martin, one brother, Sidney (Laura) Martin, step-son, A.J. (Larisa) Gonzales, step-daughter, Kristen (Jose Altamirano) Gonzales, loving step-mother, Lisa Martin, grandchildren, Betty, Bailey, Jaimie, Conner, Emily, Austin, Drayden, Kaylee and Jase, mother-in-law, Rosa Olivares, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services have been postponed at this time.
