Rene T. Garcia, Jr., age 60, passed away on December 30, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Rene was born on May 19, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1978 and attended Texas A & M. Rene worked for Bealls Dept. Store, H.E.B. and other department stores. He enjoyed casino, going out to eat, being with family and especially his mom whom he adored and loved with all his heart. He loved dancing and classic movies. He will be remembered for his humor, devotion to family and friends, being a jokester, was a great comedian and extremely intelligent man. Rene was a loving son, brother, awesome uncle that will be missed dearly, a very passionate brother, and was very loved and attentive to all his family and friends. He had a beautiful big heart, very sincere and a humble person. He is preceded in death by his father, Rene E. Garcia and step father, Henry Ayala.
He is survived by his mom, Juanita T. Ayala; sisters, Thelma J. Garcia, Terry J. Oliva; nephews, Adam Lee Garcia, Luis Gilberto Garza, Jr., Ryan Andrew Esquivel; nieces, Trisha (Eric) Rodriguez, Tiffany Oliva; great nephews and great nieces, Anayansia Garza, Avery Rodriguez, Benjamin Rodriguez, Lincoln Rodriguez. Oscar Oliva, Israel De La Rosa were two of plenty of dear friends that he shared his life with.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be: Adam Lee Garcia, Luis Gilberto Garza, Jr., Ryan Andrew Esquivel, Eric Rodriguez, Arturo Garcia, Eddie Martinez, Rene Guerrero, Oscar Oliva and Bobby Gonzalez.
