Rene G. Gonzalez

Rene G Gonzalez, 96, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on November 17, 2023. He was born in H. Matamoros, Mexico to Guadalupe Gonzalez Arratia and Martin Gonzalez Garza on August 24, 1927. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, his wife Angelica Ruvalcaba, two of their children an infant daughter Araceli, and a son Guadalupe. Survivors include his daughter-in-law Elaine and 4 daughters: Libby (Lee Jones), Alma (Hilario Rincones), Arcadia, and Ada (Jose Vera). Two sons: Marcos (Jennie Sue) and Rene (Sandra); 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

He leaves a profound and inspiring legacy, as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His devotion to family leaves an amazing impression on his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. He instilled in his children a strong sense of values that to this day sustain them in their respective journeys in life. He taught them the meaning of love and respect along with instilling in them a highly competitive spirit. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He had been a proud and productive resident of Corpus Christi since March 1962.
