Raquel “Angie” Soto, 61, passed away on December 29, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Raquel “Angie” Soto was born on September 13, 1956 to Rachel and Alex Castro. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1975. Angie worked for the Internal Revenue Service, and moved back home to work for CCAD. She then worked for the US Postal Service which she retired from. She then continued to meet more people and decided to work for AEP, which she still was employed. Angie enjoyed organizing family gatherings and was an amazing chef. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, Pierce and Lila. Angie was a very giving person with a generous spirit. She will always be remembered for her love of adventure and travel to her most beloved place to visit was Hawaii. Angie was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Raquel “Angie” Soto is preceded in death by her parents, Rachel and Alexander Castro.
Angie is survived by her devoted and loving husband Mario C. Soto; her children, Ursula, Joe, Suzanne, Lincoln; her mother-in-law, Teresa Soto; 10 siblings, Alex Jr., Xavier “Sonny”, Michael, Arnold, Ninfa, Ruth, Olga, Gloria, Carol, Marie; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be held at 7 pm that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
