Pedro David Villarreal

Pedro David Villarreal “Petey”, age 37, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020. He was born February 6, 1983 to Fred and Oralia Villarreal in Victoria, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He received his GED from Del Mar College in 2003. Petey was employed by Coastal Bend Container. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and a Godfather to Grayson Rodriguez.

Petey loved spending time with family and friends, kayaking, collecting movies, barbequing, cooking and baking, especially pan de polvo. He was a “Jack of all trades” and therefore became the person everyone turned to if they needed a barber, a cook, a mechanic, mover, electrician or carpenter… You name it, he did it all.

Petey was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help. He was fiercely devoted and loyal to his family and friends, ready to defend anyone he loved or considered a friend. He will also be remembered for his beautiful, infectious smile and loud boisterous laughter. He had a unique sense of humor, and was always up for a challenge, loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Petey is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carmen Herrera, his aunt and Godmother, Alice Mendiola, and his paternal aunt and uncle, Bennie and Moe Ramos.

Petey is survived by his father and mother, Fred and Oralia Villarreal, brother, Robert Villarreal, sister, Elizabeth Villarreal, 3 nephews, Brandon James Villarreal (Samantha), Jeremy Robert Villarreal (Janelle), Christian Villarreal and 1 niece, Jayde Madison Estell and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3423 Rojo Street. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon J. Villarreal, Christian I. Villarreal, Mark Rodriguez, John Young, Michael Guerrero, Alex Rodriguez, Gabriel Herrera and Michael Mondragon. Honorary pallbearer will be his nephew, Jeremy R. Villarreal.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Petey’s name.

Due to COVID limitations, services will be limited to immediate family only (40 people). A live stream of the Rosary will be available for friends and family to view from their home.
