Paula E Lopez

Paula “Polly” Escobar Lopez, age 83, passed away on March 2, 2021 peacefully at her home in Rockport, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on June 21, 1937 to Eleuterio and Andrea Escobar in Ben Bolt, Texas where she was raised and graduated high school. After graduation, she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. She later married and had 2 daughters. Polly was a long time employee of and retired from the Nueces County Community Action Agency where she worked as a switch board operator/receptionist.

Polly is preceded in death by her parents Eleuterio and Andrea Escobar, brothers; Eligio Escobar, Ramiro Escobar, Rojerio Escobar, Ricardo Escobar and Eleuterio Escobar II, and sisters; Odelia Jimenez, Maria Flores and Angela Adame.

She is survived by her two daughters Dolores (Andrew) Valdez and Dora (Oscar) Ramirez, four grandchildren Andrew (Jeania) Mendez, Kimberly Henderson, William Ross (Jordan) Henderson and Samuel Henderson, brother Rafael Escobar, sister Andrea (Oscar) Hinojosa and numerous nieces and nephews.

Polly was a very giving person who loved her family with all her heart. She will be missed dearly by her family and all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening followed by a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. Services will conclude in the chapel.
