Paul Woods Sr.

Mr. Paul Tisdale Woods Sr. was born on July 22, 1955 to the late Robert Tisdale and Ester Lee Redd Washington in Alice, Tx.
    Paul accepted Christ at an early age and rededicated his life by baptism under the leadership of Pastor Dennis Jones. Paul attended public school in the Alice Independent School District, graduating as a star football player in 1973 and attended Wharton Jr. College in Wharton, Tx. He was employed with the City of Corpus in the early 80’s and retired from the Corpus Christi Independent School District Food Services after 13 years of employment. Paul was the best dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and was also an avid fisherman.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Robert Tisdale, his mother and Ester Lee Redd Washington.
 Paul leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 37 years Delissa Woods, daughters, Lanette Woods of New Orleans, LA, Ashley (Darryl) Sanders, of Houston, TX, Chanta (Richard) Gidrey, Celeste Prince of Corpus Christi, TX, sons Paul Woods Jr. of Corpus Christi. TX, Jabar Woods , George Woods of Wharton, TX, sister Pearly Kemp of Kingsville Tx, brothers Neal Woods of Corpus Christ, TX and Joe (Chris) Woods of Denver CO, 22 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a special son Jonathan Villarreal of Corpus Christi Tx, & close friends Chris Altamirano & Vincent Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Westhaven Baptist Church, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m.
