Sis. Patricia Ann Bryan was born December 26, 1955 in Columbus, Georgia to the late J. D. Simmons and Willie Kate Lawrence. She accepted Christ as Savior and Lord of her life at an early age and was baptized. She grew up in Columbus and later her family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. Sis. Bryan was educated and graduated from West Oso Independent School District in Corpus Christi, Texas. After high school she enrolled in Del Mar College and graduated from Del Mar’s Nursing School as a LVN nurse. She was employed at Spohn Hospital System in Corpus Christi, Texas. She later moved to Kingsville, Texas where she was employed by USA Home Health Services and then entered her retirement years. Sis. Bryan transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Sis. Bryan worked hard to rear her children. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch entertaining her family and friends that would stop by. She loved watching her grandchildren play in the front yard. She loved cooking southern-style meals and did not want anyone else cooking in her kitchen. On good days, especially holidays, she would light her Bar-B-Q pit and cook finger-licking good Bar-B-Q. She loved to shop for specific clothes, and she knew how to dress. She was easily noticed and distinctive whenever she was in a crowd. Sis. Bryan was married to Carroll Bryan and to this union was born a son, Carroll Bryan, Jr. Sis. Bryan was preceded in death by her Husband, her parents, brothers Alonzo Lawrence and Horace Lawrence; and sister, Jeanette Bryant. Sis. Bryan leaves to mourn her death, sisters, Nadine Reed, Carolyn (Gregory) Sparks; brothers Robert Lawrence, Harold Lawrence, and Joe Simmons; daughters, Shontay Rashel Lawrence, and Bessie Shermaine Clack; sons, Carroll Bryan, Jr. (Nicole) and Clyde Horace Clack; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
