Oscar Arturo Vela Jr.

Oscar Arturo Vela, Jr, age 38, passed away December 5, 2019. He was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 8, 1981, to Elida Limon Aguirre and Abelardo Aguirre, Sr.
Oscar was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He will be remembered for his laughter, big smile and devotion to his children and family. He enjoyed barbecuing, the Dallas Cowboys and his favorite NBA player, Lebron James.
Oscar is preceded in death by his grandparents; Guadalupe and Elisa Limon, uncle; Guadalupe Limon, Jr. and cousin; Cameron Espinosa.
He is survived by the love of his life, Diana Alonzo, his children; Elijah Garza, Kayli Vela, Samaura Vela, Julian Vela, Oriana Vela and Cameron Vela, parents; Elida Limon Aguirre and Abelardo Aguirre, Sr., sister; Crystal (Edward) Livas, brother; Abelardo Aguirre, Jr., nephew; Maximus Livas and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
