Nora Cantu Guerrero, age 67, passed away on August 21, 2019. She was born on October 31, 1951 to Manuel Cantu and Odelia Ramirez-Cantu in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Moody High School in 1971. After high school she attended Stevenson Beauty College in Corpus Christi, Texas and was a beautician for 20 years.
She married her husband of 43 years, Ernest H. Guerrero, on March 12, 1976. Nora was later employed by Orange Grove ISD and retired after a nearly 30 year career. Nora was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and grandmother.
Nora enjoyed participation in anything outdoors and working on her pond at home. She was a member of The South Texas Trail Riders Association, where she rode horseback to San Antonio annually with her family for many years.
She will always be remembered for her love of her family. She was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to ensure that her husband and children were well cared for and happy. She had a love for life and a great sense of humor. She enjoyed, more than anything, the quiet ranch life with her children, and later her grandchildren. She had a love for life, and she will be remembered by all that knew her with great love and affection.
Nora is survived in death by her husband, Ernest H. Guerrero; her children, Dr. Marissa G. Longoria (William), Ernest H. Guerrero, Jr., Delilah Sugar De La Paz (Javier), Adam Lee Guerrero; her grandchildren, William E. Longoria, Jr. (II), Taylor Olivia De La Paz (6), Dakota Avery De La Paz (2), Zoe Rose Longoria (I).
Nora is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Cantu; her mother, Odelia Cantu; Brothers, Joey Cantu and Arturo Cantu.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on August 24, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Ernest H. Guerrero, Ernest H. Guerrero Jr., Adam Lee Guerrero, William E. Longoria, William E. Longoria, Jr, Javier De La Paz.
