Obituary

Nasario “Peewee” Becerra, Jr., age 74, passed away on July 27, 2020. He was born on May 30, 1946 to Julia and Nasario Becerra. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas where he attended Del Mar Community College. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967 as a Staff Sargent E5. During his service, he received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Nasario married his loving wife, Diana Becerra, of forty six years on May 7, 1974. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Nasario will always be remembered for his love of laughter and telling jokes. He enjoyed watching the history channel and spending time with his grandchildren, they were the light of his life.

Nasario was preceded in death by his mother: Julia Amparan Becerra and father: Nasario Becerra Sr. Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Diana Becerra; sons: Javier (Debbie) Maldonado and Peter (Irene) Maldonado, Jr.; grandchildren: Christian Maldonado, Maritza Maldonado, Andrew (Natalie) Maldonado, Mathew Maldonado and Sharon (Merari) Riojas; brothers: Carlos (Nioma) Becerra, Robert Becerra, Dan (Zaida) Becerra and Orlando (Diana) Becerra and one great-grandson Zachariah Riojas and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Seaside Reid Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Seaside Reid Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Due to COVID limitations, the services will be limited to 65 people. Masks are required.
