Michael Rey Rodriguez

Michael Rey Rodriguez (Uncle Mikey), 42, passed away on September 5, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 21, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas to Rey and Yolanda Rodriguez. He attended W.B. Ray High School where he received his G.E.D. He will always be remembered for his love of Star Wars, fishing, trying different food trucks and always being the life of the party. He loved a good bargain and could always put a smile on your face. He was a jokester that would give you the shirt off his back. He had a gift with words and could sell anything to anyone and help anyone through anything. He always gave unconditionally of his time, friendship, and even financial support. He taught us the importance of a good work ethic and anything is possible if you work hard. Michael’s greatest and proudest accomplishments are his 3 children.
Michael was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Yolanda, grandparents, Ramiro and Maria Rodriguez, Guadalupe and Edna Soliz, many aunts and uncles and his beloved Samson (English bull dog). Michael is survived by his children; Michael Draven Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, and Alexa Rodriguez. His father; Rey Rodriguez, sisters; Joanda Zuniga (Rene) and Edna Silva (Saul). Nieces and nephews; Valerie Jo (Joshua), R.J (McKenna), Cassandra, Joseph, Shalyndria (Thomas), Steven, Lauren, Brianna, Cameron, Madilyn, Hailey, and Hannah. Great nieces and nephews; Jazlene, Caleb, Jayla, Journey, Kira, J.J, Ellie, Kathleen, Kimberly, Kevin, and Addison.

Visitation will be held on Saturday 12, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A memorial service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
