Michael Ornelas

Michael Ross Ornelas, 51, passed away peacefully September 5, 2020 surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Michael graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1988. During his early years, he played baseball and basketball with Corpus Christi Little League.
He and his father were very involved with the Boys Scouts of America where he earned his Eagle Scout badge and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in General Business from U.T.S.A. He worked for USAA until his death.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents; Gregorio and Elvira Ornelas and Emilio and Adelina Perez.
Michael is survived by his parents, Mike and Alma Ornelas, sister, Lori Ann Ornelas, wife, Sebrina, and children; Elizabeth, Gregory, and Emma Ornelas.
Visitation services to be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
