Michael Nicholas Garcia

Michael N. Garcia, age 30, passed away on September 1, 2021. He was born on February 16, 1991 to Alfino Garcia Jr. and Maria Teresa Medina. Michael was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and Austin, Texas. He graduated from Crockett High School in 2010. He married his wife of 3 years on August 25, 2018.

Michael was a musician. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. Michael enjoyed participation in playing guitar, drums and bass. Making music was his passion and founder of Beards for kids toy drive. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sense of adventure, service in the community, his love of music and food. There was never a dull moment when Michael was around. Michael loved helping others. While he was not an outdoor man, Michael enjoyed riding a scooter with the sun in his face and the wind in his hair. He was in a scooter club in Austin, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Cenaida Garcia, brother Alfino Garcia III, maternal grandparents Joe and Mina Medina and various other relatives.

Michael is survived by his wife Diamond Rose Ybarra, parents Alfino Jr. and Terry Garcia, brother Johnny (JoAnn) Garcia, sisters Irene (Trey) Houston, Angela Garcia, paternal grandfather Alfino Garcia Sr., mother-in-law Mrs. Dolores Y. (Juan+) Lara, brother-in-law Moose (Leslie+) Ybarra, sister-in-law Stephanie (Jimmy) Patino and various nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. that same day at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Dago Rivera, Isaiah McNeil, Ronnie Delgado, Sean Salomon, Benito Ambriz, Michael Marshall, Kimberly Garcia and Ami Lyons. Honorary pallbearer is Alfino Garcia Jr.
