Merado "Oscar" Chapa

Merado “Oscar” Chapa, age 74, passed away on April 27, 2020. He was born on January 26, 1946 to Pablo and Alicia Chapa in Corpus Christi, TX.
Oscar married his wife, Gloria B. Chapa, of 49 years on May 5, 1971. He owned C&G Painting Co.
Oscar was a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Oscar will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sense of adventure and the devotion he had to his family. He loved listening and singing Elvis’ songs and telling his family stories of the good ol’ days, when he was younger.
Oscar is preceded in death by his father: Pablo Chapa; mother, Alicia Chapa; brothers, Oliver Chapa, Israel and Arthur Guerrero and his nephew: Raul Chapa. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife: Gloria B. Chapa; son: Paul Chapa and wife Noelia Chapa; daughters: Alicia Chapa, Angie Chapa, Elizabeth Chapa Johnson and husband Nathan Villarreal; son: Oscar Merado Chapa and wife Nancy Chapa; grandkids: Crystal, Paul Jr. and Elijah Chapa; Cameron and Brandon Coffman; Marcella Calderon and Jeremiah Elvis Johnson; Oscar O’Miles and Layla Chapa and John, Jaylynn, Jay and Jackie Silguero; great-grandkid: Abigail Chapa; sisters: Isabel Sauceda and Minerva Chapa and husband Roger Jacobo; brothers: Felix and Joe Guerrero, Danny Trevino and wife Carmen Trevino; niece Delores Hernandez and her kids Tommy and Lacey Gray; nephews: David and Roger Jacobo and his kids Devon and Skylar Jacobo and nieces and nephews: Erica, Lydia and John Guerrero and David Lee Trevino.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are: Paul JR Chapa, Elijah Chapa, Cameron Coffman, Brandon Coffman, Oscar O’Miles Chapa and Nathan Villarreal.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Seaside Reid Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 12pm with a funeral service to follow. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park, in the Our Lady of Guadalupe section.
