Mary Louise Vulgamore

Mary Louise Vulgamore , age 83 passed away on January 14, 2021. She was born on September 11, 1937 to Felix Salas Sr. and Margarita Garza.
Marylou is preceded in death by her Husband Royce H. Vulgamore and her parents.
Marylou is survived by her siblings Felix Salas (Gay Ann) Jr., Sylvia Rosales (Ruben), her niece Debra Garza, nephew Luke Jacobson, her great niece Christina Balbin (Joe), great nephews Austin Leal and Zachary Leal, two great, great nephews Joseph and Jacob Balbin.
Marylou was born in Corpus Christi, and graduated from W.B. Ray High School 1956. She was the one of the founders and President of the Prima Debs young ladies club. Her love of the piano stirred her to learn and play classical music for 12 years and where she went the piano accompanied her.
She worked at Corpus Christi Army Depot and for a local doctor with dreams of becoming a nurse instead she married and moved to Louisiana and then Oklahoma where she worked for American Airlines. During her tenure at American Airlines she received many accolades for her exemplary work and years of dedicated service. Upon Retiring in 1997 she moved back to Texas.
Marylou had a love of animals and gardening, but most of all she loved her family. She was loving and generous especially to those in need.
Marylou was blessed to be surrounded by her love ones prior to passing.
I want to thank her favorite care givers at St. Gabriel for the care, kindness and compassion she was shown. I want to also thank Suzie Edwards her hospice nurse and the rest of the Altus Hospice Team you were awesome. Also to everyone who has played a part in the amazing ladies care throughout the years.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Home.
