Mark Phillip Rodriguez

Mark Phillip Rodriguez, age 46, passed away on January 7, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.
Born October 25, 1972 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Mark leaves behind his beautiful wife Margaret (Meg) Rodriguez (Litz), his precious daughters, Monica and Morgan Rodriguez and his cherished mother, Mary Lou Rodriguez; along with his aunts and uncles Pete and Rose Lopez, Mari Siegmund, Jesse Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Jerry Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Connie Rodriguez, George Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez. He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Rodriguez, his sister Monica Rodriguez, his grandparents, Pedro and Herlinda Lopez and Manuel and Margarita Rodriguez, his aunts and uncle, Juan and Armandina Rodriguez and Patty Rodriguez.

Mark attended Cherry Hill East High School in New Jersey where he played football and baseball and developed many lifelong friendships. He then started a long career with the U.S. Postal Service. Mark and Meg met in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and were married on April 2, 2005. Their love for each other and their family grew as they welcomed their beautiful daughters Monica and Morgan. Mark was a devoted father, husband, son and friend. He played defense for his adult hockey team, coached girls’44 softball and loved a nice afternoon on the back 9 with his buddies. He was diehard Philadelphia sports fan (E-A-G-L-E-S) and enjoyed gaming on his computer. However, he was a family man above all else. He enjoyed watching his girls dance recitals and school shows. He was known for his humorous personality and his ability put a smile on anyone’s face. He will surely be missed by cousins, in laws, family and friends in Texas, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, especially Matthew DeTurk.

A Memorial Service will be held later during the summer in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers or monetary donations, the family requests that Mark’s family and friends spend time with someone they love in his honor. Mark enjoyed spending time with the people who were important to him. The gift of time is the greatest gift that one can give to those they love.
