Mario Moreno, 68, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017.

An Army Veteran, Mario served his country with honor and pride. He was stationed in Germany
during the Vietnam Era.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Hortencia Moreno and a sister Dolores Morin Vela.

Mario is survived by two sons, Mario Moreno Jr., and David Moreno. He leaves behind four grandchildren Amber, Stephen, Zachary, and Lucas Moreno. Also surviving is the mother of his sons Rosalinda Moreno and her two sons Eliud Esquivel and Eric Moreno. Other survivors include two brothers Tony (Maria) Moreno and Daniel (Shelley) Moreno; three sisters Carmen (Johnny) Ramirez, Bertha A. Moreno (Roland), and Belia Moreno; two cousins, who he saw as siblings, Nicolas (Connie) Ortega and Janie (Mark) Garcia. He leaves behind two maternal uncles Manuel and Jose A. Garcia; maternal aunt Paula Martinez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Zachary, Lucas, and Stephen Moreno, Nick Ortega, Joe Moreno.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Ramirez and Albert Moreno.
