Maria T Garcia

Maria T. Garcia, age 85, passed away April 27, 2020. Maria was born on January 4, 1935 to Pedro Trevino and Catalina San Miguel.
Maria will be remembered for the single stay at home mother of four daughters and one son. She played the role of mother and father in a time when that was not common. Despite the trial and tribulations, she always provided a loving, warm home for her children.
She was a compassionate spirit of faith whose passion was caring for her older grandchildren. She would proudly boast of her children and grandchildren’s successes.
She was a determined individual that stayed strong. Through her, we now know what resilience and perseverance looks like.
Our family grieves her loss, but we will take comfort that her life memories will be treasured in many beautiful ways.
Maria T. Garcia is preceded in death by her mother, Catalina San Miguel, sisters, Jesusa Rodriguez. Delfina Armendarezs and daughter, Rosalinda Garcia.
Maria T. Garcia is survived by her children; Myra (Joey) Silva, from Comstock, Texas, Leticia Garcia, from Corpus Christi, Texas, Elsa Iqbal, from Corpus Christi, Texas, Alfonso (Alicia) Garcia, of Corpus Christi, Texas and Adriana (Antonio) Rios, from Corpus Christi, Texas, brother, Enrigue Plata, of Taft, Texas, sister, Grace Flores Hughes, of Alexandria, Virginia, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 3 on the way.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park
