Our Heavenly Father called Maria Olga Ortiz, 66, home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
She was born on June 30, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Gerardo and Luisa Ortiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gerardo and Luisa Ortiz, her sisters Janie Danielsen and Blanca Garcia and her brother, Ernest Ortiz.
Maria Olga lived her life serving her family, friends, students, and above all, Our Lord. She showed those around her that with faith and prayers all things are possible. She is greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her sister, Luisa De la Cruz of Corpus Christi, Texas; her brothers Raul Morales of Austin, Texas; Carlos (Sonia) Ortiz of Portland, Texas; David Ortiz of Corpus Christi, Texas ; and Rene (Evelyn) Ortiz of San Antonio , Texas; her nephews Michael, Patrick, Alonzo and Stephen; and nieces Cathy, Lorraine, Melissa, Kimberly, Karla, Marisol and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She is also leaving behind many great friends that she shared prayer, song, memories and laughter with.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
