Maria Elizabeth Guillen

Maria Elizabeth Guillen, age 51, passed away April 28, 2022. Maria Elizabeth was born December 17, 1970 to Arnoldo Guillen, Sr. and Raquel R. Villarreal. She graduated from West Oso High School in 1989. She then attended Southwest School of Business and received a Pharmacy Technician Certification. Liz was employed by Clarissa Esparza DDS Family Dentistry. She enjoyed going to her children’s sporting events and hanging out with her family and friends. Liz will always be remembered for her kindness to all, never a stranger, her infectious smile, her strength through all circumstances, her strong-willed, confident, funny and quick witted personality. Liz was a loving daughter, sister, mother, niece, cousin and granddaughter.
Maria Elizabeth is preceded in death by her Maternal grandparents, Esteban and Maria Rodriguez, Paternal grandparents, Franasco and Luz Guillen, father, Arnoldo Guillen, Sr., brothers, Esteban Guillen and Johnny R. Villarreal, Jr.
Maria Elizabeth is survived by her children: Charles Edward Miles, Jr., Clarissa Elizabeth Miles (An Active Member of the Armed Forces), Isabella Ayde Miles, Isaac Abraham Miles, Colton Esteban Clay; granddogs: Zoei, Calie, Cole; siblings: Arnold (Liza) Guillen, Juan (Laura) Guillen, Anna (Joel) Zepeda, Raul (Gloria) Guillen, Ernestina (Martin) Villegas, Reubena (Veronica) Martinez; nieces and nephews: Leslie (Anthony) Garza, Kevin Guillen, Michael (Delma) Guillen, Arnold (Selena) Guillen III, Hailey Guillen, Natalie Perez, CJ Perez, Madeline Guillen, Joel Zepeda, Molly Zepeda, Gabrielle (Anthony) Benavidez, Marisol )Moses) Miranda, Juan Martinez, Jr. Johnnessa (Sabrina) Martinez, Justine Martinez, Joe Flores, McKynzie Yanez, Makira Yanez, Juliet Gonzales Martinez and Johnny Gonzales Martinez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Kevin Guillen, Michael Guillen, Arnold Guillen III, Juan Martinez Jr., Joel Aaron Zepeda and Esteban Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Fernandez and Marcus A. Rodriguez.
