Our Mother, Maria Concepcion “Connie” Padron Flores was born on September 8, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Amelia Presas and Pedro Padron, Jr. She was called home on September 8, 2018 at the age of 79 years old.
Connie graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1958. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was Baptized, received the sacraments of Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Matrimony. She was a member of the Guadalupana’s. She was also a member of the H-Fairnesse Girls Club as a teen. She married her husband, Rolando February 8, 1959.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rolando Flores, Sr. and her parents.
Connie is survived by two daughters, Nelda Flores Ibarra and Belinda Flores Grigsby (James, Sr.) and one son, Rolando Flores, II, four grandchildren, Tiffany Ramos, Alyssa Ibarra, James Grigsby, Jr. and Brayden Rolando Flores, two great grandsons, Joseph Elizalde, Jr. and Gavin Gerragauch, one sister, Angelina Padron Gomez and two sisters-in-law, Rosa Rivera (Rudy, Sr.) and Nellie Cortez (Paul) and Gomez, Rivera and Cortez nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Seaside Reid Mausoleum Chapel, 4357 Ocean Drive with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M., Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
