Obituary
Maria Adelina Hernandez, age 95, passed away on September 12, 2020. She was born on June 22, 1925 to Candido Cantu and Adelina Salinas.
She was an avid reader of the Bible and her ability to memorize scripture was uncanny but her ability to remember was instrumental in her life. Her will and determination was a great example to us all. Her firm side was steadfast as was her resolve. A woman that loved music of all kinds. It was often I’d hear her singing, hymns, rancheras, corridus, love and also heartbreak songs. When at ease she’d play her selection loud. She raised her grandchildren, often times entertaining them with Bible stories like the Prodigal son, Samson and Delilah and others. Often too busy to attend Church she prayed and did the Rosary at home. She kept a lit candle at her home Altar for us all. We thank you and will miss you dearly Mother.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
