Maria Aguilera Armadillo

Maria Aguilera Armadillo, age 90, passed away April 28, 2022. Maria was born on June 15, 1931 to Elvira Belgara and Dismicis Aguilera. She graduated from the Adult Learning Center in 1979. Maria was employed by Christus Spohn Memorial. She enjoyed being a Senior Corps Senior Companion. She will always be remembered for involvement with the Salvation Army. She loved going to Bingo’s and gambling at Eagle Pass and loved going to Waxahachie Camp with the Salvation Army.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Elvira Belgara and Dismicis Aguilera, her brothers, Nabor Aguilera, Eugenio Aguilera and her sister, Juana Aguilera.

Maria is survived by her children: Dennis Rodriguez, Pat (Larry) Armadillo Ybanez, Johnny (Jesusita) Gonzales, Jr., Job (Genaro) Gonzales, Jr.; grandchildren: Johnny Vasquez, Jimmy Gonzales, Judy Ann Gonzales, Genaro Gonzales, III, Angelita Garcia (an active member of the Armed Forces), Jesse Gonzales, Juan Antonio Gonzales, Josue Cruz, Jhone F. Segovia; great grandchildren: Bonnie Castillo, Joyce Castillo, Jo Marie Castillo, Brenda Castillo, Nyah Gonzales, Cybella Gonzales, Lucian Gonzales, Zianna Orta, Gabriella Ortiz, Jose Fuentes, Jr., JayLynn Fuentes; great great grandchildren: Mark Anthony Lugo, Judy Ann Lugo, Anahia Cruz, Liam Cruz and Sky Gonzales.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Damion Luna, Jesse Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, Ivan Jr Morales, Julian Trevino and Lupe Gonzales.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who came to join the family in our time to lay our Mother to rest and to Nurse Debbie for the comfort and care she gave to our mother, Maria. Also, a special thanks to Petra, mom’s dearest friend who was always there with her.
