Maria Del Rosario Acuna, age 73, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Maria was born on August 25, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a loving mom and wife who will be dearly missed. Maria was always helping others and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She will also be dearly missed by her loving pets ET and Lola. Maria is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Pedro and Guadalupe Rea; her parents Francisco Macias Sr. and Alicia Macias, her brothers Francisco Macias Jr., Pete Macias; her aunt and uncle Domingo and Olga Cervantes.
Maria is survived by her husband, Richard Acuna; her sons Leonel “Lee” Rea (Daniel Gonzales), Edward Acuna, Richard Acuna Jr.; brother and sister Carlos Macias (Linda), Maria Elena Garza; sister-in-law, Elida Ramirez (Joe), sister-in-law Janie Macias; niece and nephew Sylvia Garza and Frank Garza, Javier Ortiz and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steven Macias, Danny Gonzales, Carlos Macias, Benny Macias, Joe Ramirez and Edward Acuna.
Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
