Maria A Gomez

Maria Angelina Gomez, age 82, passed away on November 14, 2023. Maria better known as “Angie” was born on May 5, 1941 to Amelia Presas and Pete Padron Jr. Maria Angelina Gomez married David D. Gomez Sr. on June 23, 1962.

Maria held numerous jobs throughout her life. One occupation she held was caring for others by being a home health care provider. However, her most important job was being a homemaker and caring for her children.

She will always be remembered for her love of singing. She along with her husband enjoyed participating in karaoke at numerous Mexican restaurants.

Maria Angelina Gomez was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and aunt. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, near or far.

Maria Angelina Gomez is preceded in death by her husband, David D. Gomez Sr., and sister, Maria Concepcion Flores.

Maria Angelina Gomez is survived by her children, David Gomez Jr. (Andrea Quiroz), Mary Amelia Foust from Ocean City, Maryland, grandchildren, David Gomez III, Jennifer Gomez both from Corpus Christi, Texas, Alaina Foust from Seattle, Washington and Ethan Foust from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, great-grandchildren, Kyanna, Emily and many nieces and nephews dear to her heart.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
