Margarita Benavides

Margarita Benavides, age 82, passed away March 21, 2020. She was born on August 13, 1937 to Juan and Aurora Garcia. She was born in Beeville, Texas, but was raised in Corpus Christi. She was married to her former husband, Guillermo Benavides, for 22 years. Margarita enjoyed family gatherings and watching novellas. She will always be remembered for her devotion to family and love of coffee.
Margarita is preceded in death by her sons, Roland Benavides and Guillermo Benavides, her brothers, Jesse Garcia and Jose Garcia.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her daughters, Teresa Sanchez, Elsa Gomez, Zelda Saenz, grandchildren: Luis (Priscilla) Sanchez, Maggie Benavides, Ramiro Benavides, Valerie Gomez, Jessica (Javier Jr.) Long, Michael (Marina) Saenz, Erika Saenz, Victor Armijo, William (Phylisha) Benavides, Evelyn Nicole Benavides, Samantha Benavides, Ashley Benavides, Roland Benavides, great-grandchildren, Michael Saenz, Marcus Saenz, Dallas Leos, Yaleena Benavides, Aubree Samaniego, Adelynn Long, Hailey Sanchez, Kady Sanchez, Maddison Benavides and Jacoby Benavides, brothers and sisters, Juan Garcia, Marcos (Becky) Garcia, Robert (Diana) Garcia, Emilio Garcia, Samuel (LouLou) Garcia, Rosalio (Cindy) Garcia, Adela (Johnny) Hernandez, Amelia Garza, Maria (Terry) Bass and Florentina (Amador) Valdez.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Michael J. Saenz, Luis Sanchez, Ramiro Benavides, Victor Arroyo, Roland Benavides and Michael Saenz.
