Margaret (Margie) Lopez Garcia entered eternal life peacefully while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Margie was born on February 26, 1953 to Baldemar T. Lopez, Sr., and Eva Jaime Lopez. She is preceded in death by her loving father Baldemar T. Lopez Sr., maternal grandparents Augustine Jaime Sr. and Margarita Jaime and paternal grandparents Leovardo and Cruz T. Lopez.
Margie leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving mother Eva Jaime Lopez, husband Roy M. Garcia, Sr., children Roy Garcia, Jr. and Laura Judith Garcia. Grandchildren Roy Garcia III., Priscilla Marie Garcia and Veronica Michelle Garcia, Great Grandchildren, Jayson Jeremiah Garcia, Miracle Marie Medina and Edgar Roland Medina. Her siblings, Leovardo (Gena) Lopez, Baldemar (Erica) Lopez, Jr., Angelica (Luis) Cuevas, Diana (Deacon Hector) Salinas and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the many doctors and staff of Christus Spohn Shoreline 6B and 4A for their dedication and caring manner that they provided for Margaret and her family during her time there. To the many family and friends whom kept Margie lifted in prayer each day.
Margie is the epitome of great courage and strength having survived breast cancer once and fighting to beat cancer once more. Throughout her battle she never complained and would always greet you with a smile. “Well done good and faithful servant, you have been faithful; come home and I will give you rest.”
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, May 18th at Seaside Reid Chapel at 5:00pm with a Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00pm.
The Rite of Christian Mass and Burial will be held on Saturday, May 19th at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10:00am with a burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roy Garcia, Luis Cuevas, Joel Valdez, Baldemar Lopez Jr., Leovaldo Lopez and NIcholas Salinas.
