Manuel Lopez Garcia

Manuel “Meme” Garcia, age 83, passed away on September 25, 2019. He was born on March 22, 1936, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Theodoro and Antonia Lopez Garcia. Meme was employed by Gulf King Shrimp Company.
Meme enjoyed reading books, listening to talk shows and being up to date with current events. He will always be remember for his devotion to his family. He was a very caring, respectable and giving person. He loved to tell jokes to make people laugh. He loved everyone and always found the good in everybody. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.
Meme is preceded in death by his father, Theodoro Garcia, mother, Antonia Lopez Garcia, sisters, Martina Garcia and Rosa Balboa, brothers, Johnny Garcia and Poncho Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory is his family, Mary Garcia and their two daughters, Lydia (Jed) Ransom and Patsy Garcia, his wife, Sandy Garcia and their four children, Mark (Sylvia) Garcia, Marina (Manuel) Felan, Anthony (Terry) Garcia, Naomi Guzman, sisters, Celia (Raymond) Silvas, Toni (Gonzalo) Tamez, Gloria Flores and Janie (Gilbert) Estrada, brother, Baldemar (Lupe) Garcia, grandchildren, Hector, Jr., Manuel, Sergio, Noe, Connie Marie, Nathan, Corey, Junior, Savannah, Ronnie, Ricky, Robert, Ramsey, Renee Ceara, Randy, Manny and Casey Marie, numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to be pallbearers are Mark Garcia, Ricky Guzman, Anthony Garcia, Robert Guzman, Ronnie Jaramillo and Manny Figueroa.
