Madea (Aka: Maria) Vega Ochoa

Maria Ochoa, age 87, passed away on November 18, 2023. She was born on June 6, 1936 to Jose and Juanita Vega.

Maria enjoyed cooking, sewing, watching her novelas and dancing. She will always be remembered for her quiet nature, devotion to family, always caring and saw the good in everyone.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Juanita Vega, 2-sisters, Janie and Gloria, son, Eddie Ochoa, grandchildren, Yvette Ochoa and Abel Ochoa.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Ochoa, children, Irma (Arthur) Barrera, Frank Ochoa, Joe (Viola) Ochoa, Robert Ochoa, Cindy (Luis) Riojas, Fernando (Janie) Ochoa, Johnny (Margaret) Ochoa, Victor Ochoa, Baldemar (Becky) Ochoa, 34-grandchildren, over 50-great-grandchildren, 1-great-great grandchild, 7-sisters, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be start 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with a funeral mass at 3:00 p.m. that same day. Services will conclude at the church.
