Leslie J. Kenyon, 87, died in his home on September 28th, 2017 in Corpus Christi, TX.
He was born on September 19th, 1930 in La Crosse, WI to his parents, Henry and Eva Kenyon. He graduated from Logan High School before entering the service. He married Carol Brenengen on June 16th, 1951. Leslie and Carol had 2 children and moved frequently to fulfill his duties in the Marines and the Air Force. He was honored to serve in both Korea and Vietnam.
Leslie loved spending time with his family, fishing, and watching Nascar races and NFL football. He also loved spending time in his garage tinkering with things and grilling some of the best briskets.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carol (Brenengen) Kenyon; sons, Steve Kenyon (Barb) of Port Orchard, WA and Ronald Kenyon of Rockport, TX; 5 grandchildren, Stevie (Lisa) of Belfair, WA, Christopher and Nick (Nicky) of Port Orchard, WA, Jeremy (Kelley) of Corpus Christi, TX, and Lesley (Erica) of Rochester, MN; 7 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jadyn, Spencer, Dylann, Malachi, Gabe, and Nolan; sister, Mary Scallar of Holmen, WI; brother, Terry (Paulette) of Oconomowac, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Eva; Mother and Father In-law, Chris (Anna) Brenengen; 8 brother and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX. Flowers can be sent to Corpus Christi Funeral Home or donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
