Leonel Rodriguez

Leonel Rodriguez, age 75, passed away on September 19, 2021. He was born on October 5, 1945 to Jose Isabel Rodriguez and Luz Maria Lozano. Leonel was self-employed. He enjoyed writing songs and poems, and sharing his personal testimony about the Lord. He also enjoyed going to the T-heads to buy his fish and shrimp; he cooked the best-fried fish and made the best fish soup ever. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, devotion to family and his giving heart. Leonel was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Leonel is survived by his wife, Margarita Rodriguez, children, Mario Rodriguez Padron (Minerva Gonzalez), Claudia Salinas (Israel Salinas), Mario Rodriguez, Luz Adriana Simon (Bobby Allen Simon), Yesenia Rodriguez (Ray Rodriguez), grandchildren, Jesus Rodriguez, Angelica Rodriguez, Leonel Rodriguez, Jeremiah Salinas, Samantha Salinas, Bethany Perez, Nataly Rodriguez, Jonah Rodriguez, Abigail Rodriguez, siblings, Olivia Marks, Petra Rodriguez, Rosa Villalovos, Marilu Segovia and Armando Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Elim Assembly of God, 2625 Gollihar Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Elim Assembly of God. Departure at 12:00 pm and interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
