Kenneth L. Clark, age 71, passed away February 01, 2020. He was born on November 22, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, to James Kenneth Clark and Ila Lea Clark. He graduated from W.B. Ray High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served during 1968 to 1970 and attained the rank of SP4. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and a carpenter with the Engineer Company. He received numerous awards and was honorably discharged in 1969. He went to work for Thurman Fonder Glass for over 20 years as a glazier. He did his job to the highest standards and was considered one of the best in the coastalbBend. After retiring, he started his own company, Kenny’s Glass. His knowledge and professionalism helped is company be successful.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. One of his greatest joys was fishing with family and friends; he always knew where the best fishing spots where. He loved buying old fishing gear and restoring it to look like new. Kenneth enjoyed boating and finding the best fishing equipment money could buy, at the pawnshops. He will always be remembered for his pristine work for his community through his glass business, desire for the water and the love he had for his dog, Molly. He had Molly for 12 years and she was his lifelong companion.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, James Kenneth Clark, mother, Ila Lea Gann, stepfather, Carl Douglas Gann and son, William Shane Clark.
Kenneth is survived by his sons, Sherman (Kathryn) Clark of New Caney, TX., Wayne (Amanda) Clark of Nacogdoches, TX., daughter, Heather (Josh) Marlatt of San Antonio, TX, stepmother, Janet Clark of Mathis, TX., sister, Elaine (Ken) Spitzer of Corpus Christi, TX., stepbrother, Randy (Cheryl) Darden of Banquete, TX., 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral followed by a 1:00 p.m. interment at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Sherman Clark, Wayne Clark, Josh Marlatt, Greg Cawyer, Caleb Cawyer and Trace Cawyer. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Spitzer, Darrell Spitzer and Chris Calibatsef.
